Loanhead Miners’ trading arm is the Welfare Society and Social Club. With an excellent reputation across Midlothian as one of the strongest Clubs in the area. Facilities include: Ø Large Function Hall which seats 300 people Ø Members Lounge Ø Games Room Ø State of the art technology Entertainment is high on the agenda for the Club, along with the excellent resident band ‘Vegas’ who are live on stage every Friday and Saturday night extra special entertainment nights are also arranged. Other weekly activities include Bingo, Deal or No Deal, Quiz Night and of course the Karaoke Competition. Karaoke Competition Winner Congratulations to Antonio Garcia who won the Karaoke Competition in the grand finale on Friday 18th April. The 5 finalists put on an excellent show, singing 3 songs each. The panel of judges took their time to deliberate and announced the winner as Antonio Garcia, who is pictured here receiving his prize of £1,000 from Davie Howie, member of the Loanhead Miners Management Committee.

watch this space for further details..... The Games Room has darts, pool, snooker and dominoes available. Sky Sports channels are available on large screen TVs throughout the Club, sit back and relax whilst watching your favourite team. No football colours are permitted at night. Memberships are open to the local community. New applications are taken from January each year, applications must be Proposed and Seconded by existing Members. £20 per person for the first joining fee and £10 per year thereafter. By becoming a Member you will enjoy access to one of the biggest Clubs in the area and a range of social, recreational and leisure activities, including Bowling, Darts, Fishing, live entertainment and special events. Remember all profits (less tax) generated are used to maintain and develop facilities for Members and the community.
